Skip Scan

I am curious as to why I can skip the scan after first loading a Blu-ray in dvdfab. Does it not actually need to do this scan? I am copying the main movie and it seems to be calculating the size of it, but dvdfab still lets me hit next then start. Should I not be doing this?

I think I noticed this in all versions and forgot to ask what is the correct procedure.

You don't actually skip the scan.

If you want to see what happens do this.

Test 1:
Let the scan finish, then hit next (or start, whatever the button is). Notice the first few lines of the process.

Test 2:
Don't let the scan finish, as quickly as you can, hit next (again, or start). Notice the first few lines of the process.

This is what I figured was happening or the next button wouldn't/shouldn't be clickable. Thanks for clarifying.
