    blu-ray: store bought vs. netflix?

I do not intend to break copyright laws. However I had a question about copy protection on store bought blu-ray discs vs. Netflix? If this forum feels uncomfortable about answering this question, can another website and forum be recommended for me to find my answers?

No idea about the correct answer for this question but commercial DVD/Blu-ray movies have different protection on them than what the rental stores get. Also Rental stores also get a lot of rental exclusive movies that only have the movie and advertisements on them and no bonus features

That has not been my experience. DVD can have CSS and structural copy protection, Blu-Ray can have AACS and BD+. I have never seen any difference based on the disc being rental vs. retail. I have also never heard of a rental disc that DVDFab was unable to handle.
