Sorry for the rants. Audio is still secondary

    Hi all,

Sorry for the prior rants but I an frustrated that I can't figure this out. My PS3 can't read the Blu Ray copies I make. No idea why, the originals play fine and support DTS, Dolby surround etc. If I try to rip a Blu Ray movie to an AVCHD file which I can play on the PC and on the PS3, all I get is secondary audio. I get the director's comments etc. but not the intended audio for the movie. What the heck am I doing wrong here? I have tried removing HD audio and tried every english option listed on the movied one at a time and can't get the standard movie audio to rip. HELP PLEASE!!!!

What playback software are you using on your PC? Try playing the BD in MPC-Home Cinema and look at the various audio tracks that are available. I'm guessing you're trying to rip the HD audio?

      Rip to a file

I want to rip to a file as I can access the files on my PC from my PS3 and play them in HD. When I try to do this I can't get the primary audio. Even fom the PC I am only getting alternate audio if I play the riped AVCHD file.

Try ripping to an uncompressed BD folder first off, and play it in MPC-Home Cinema, or ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre if you have it, and see if the HD audio is available. So, basically, rip to your hard drive, leave setting on BD-50 so no compression, and don't take anything out, leave it the way it is on the disk.
