Start ripping before scanning is finished, ok or not?

Hi there, I'm just curious why it is feasible to start BR ripping even if scanning is not finished. Does it makes a difference whether I wait until scanning is finished or will that be done during ripping anyway if not finished before I start ripping?

Hi, damdy-cash,

Scaning before real ripping is always appreciated, as the scaning (to some extent, checking) process may tell some minor problems are with the original disc or not. So, a better checking is the 1st step to a better ripping result, that's why you'd better keep doing scaning before ripping.
