Men In Black Blu-Ray Full-Disk Copy Problems

Hi everyone. I've been trying to copy my blu-ray movie "Men In Black" using the full disk method, and have been getting a failed notice every time. The error is #102. I have tried it several times with different options with the same results. The original disk works perfectly and is brand new.

I've tried it with pathplayer disabled and enabled, and also with "remove HD audio" checked and unchecked. I'm trying to copy full disk to 50GB.

    Here's the logs:

    Hi, Williamcl,

Task 1, Error=102 means that there encounters a reading problem during the copying process.

Please use Main movie mode to copy this DVD to your HDD, then play the copied folder on your computer to check if it can play smoothly.

    Sincerely Yours
    Malcolm Wang

I have successfully copied in Main movie mode to my HDD, and then played it from the folder and it worked perfectly, very smooth and no pauses or skips. Now if I can get it to do that in Full Disk mode!

P.S. I also tried clone mode and I had the same problems as before.

I have installed the latest version 8.0.5.0 and tried it again, and it still errors out at the same place with the same error. It seems to go to about 99.99% done, and then looks like it tries to copy a few files at the end and that's where it gives the error. Any other settings I should try and change to get a good "full disk" copy? Thanks.

Well from my understanding Pathplayer has nothing to do with Blu-ray so changing the settings for that is pointless. A read error is usally signs of a dirty/scrathed disc or bad press. Have you inspected the Blu-ray for fingerprints/scratches?

Also you can as well give the trial for DVDFab Passkey a try and have Passkey open the Blu-ray first and then start the DVDFab Blu-ray Copy to see if you can get Full Disc that way. Here link to Passkey for you and it has a 30 day free trial as well

Success! I was able to do a full disk copy with passkey and dvdfab together. I set dvdfab to ignore read errors and it copied the disk with no problems. Thanks for all the help!

Should the "Ignore errors" be on all the time, or should it normally be set to not ignore?

No Ignore errors should not be on all the time and glad you got it to work for you. Also can you post the Internal log files from both DVDFab and Passkey for this try that worked? They located in document-dvdfab-log and document-dvdfab Passkey-log
