Conversion time

Hey guys was wondering what I can do to speed up conversion time. Usually takes around 2 hrs to convert+ burning time unto a blank dvd. I am using a samsung laptop with the following.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU m460 @ 2.53ghz 2.53ghz X4
64 bit OS Windows 7 Home Premium

Antivirus and firewall is deactivated. Internet is off.

Or maybe this is normal due to compression. If not I will live with the current time.

That sounds about normal with compression. Actually not too bad !!!
