DVD Copy/Clone on Resident Evil - Extinction doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I tried several times to copy the Resident Evil 3 DVD with no success.
When I use the DVD Copy option, DVDFab tells me the size is only 2035GB (quality set to 100% DVD-9). The resulting ISO works except of the main movie. It seems it's not there.
When I use the DVD Clone option the resulting ISO is about 7356GB and has the same behavior. Except of the main movie everything in the DVD menu works.
Trying the Main Movie mode is no option, because the movie is not shown in the list. When I selected everything I get the same result as in DVD Copy mode.

Have you tried with Pathplayer disabled yet for this movie? If you have not give it a try as the info you posted reminds me of how one of my DVDs info looked and I had to disable Pathplayer for it

To be sure, I'll try it with Pathplayer disabled again (I could not exactly remember what happened when I tried it before).
DVD Copy:
The ISO size changed from 2.035Gb to 2.055GB. Also I had to activated "ignore all read errors" and the read speed drops to realy slow 0.20 MB/s. Currently >2.5h duration (still rising) is expected. When it's done, I will post the result.

The DVD Copy with Pathplayer deactivated test is finished and hat no success. The resulting ISO was bigger than with activated Pathplayer but the behavior is the same. Everything in the DVD Menu works except the main movie.
During the read process DVDFab ignored 9918 unreadable sectors. This seems to be quite a lot (I'm not an expert in these things).

I had the time to do a try with Pathplayer deactivated and DVD Clone. Same thing as by Pathplayer deactivated and DVD Copy. A lot of read failures and it takes for ever but doesn't produce a working ISO.

Maybe another tip I could try?

Would you have DVDFab Passkey installed on your computer? If you not download it and install to give the trial a try to open the DVD with Passkey. Once Passkey opens the DVD you then start DVDFab and can see if any different. link to Passkey below

DVDFab Passkey was installed and activated. First tries with Pathplayer activated (on both parts Paskey and Fab) has produced the same result.
Next tries was with Pathplayer deactivated inside Passkey. Differences to Pathplayer deactivated only inside DVDFab are the missing read errors. But also no working ISO is produced .
Last tries were with deactivated Pathplayer in both parts (Passkey & DVDFab) => Business as usual, no working ISO. But the bunch of read errors returned (had to activate ignore all read errors again) and it tuck really for ever to complete (~ 9h).

I can't believe, that this DVD from 2007 is such a [piep].

Sunny asked me to installe the 8.0.5.1 Beta from DVDFab and report the expected file sizes.

I get the following readings:

• Pathplayer activated: 2.035GB and 100% Quality
• Pathplayer deactivated: 2.055GB and 100% Quality

Even when I run the Clone Mode the result is smaller then the disc size given in the disc info panel from the settings dialog.
There is also an interesting difference between Pathplayer activated & deactivated. Deactivated gives a whole bunch of read errors and painfully slows done the reading process.
There is also no difference in behavior & result using Passkey Beta 8.0.0.3 (with or without activated Pathplayer).
