Problem with Sound of MUSIC DVD not Blue Ray

I'm trying to make a working split copy of the new relase of the Sound of Music DVD. It copies ok and plays back on my computer fine. It will not load and play on either my Sony PS3 or my Blue ray player Sony BDP-S550. On both machines when you put the disk in, nothing shows. It seems to be trying to load the disk but it never shows anything but a black screen. I've tried both DVD-R and DVD+R blanks, neither works. I'm using DVDFab 8.0.5.0

    Help appreciated.

Get rid of the Ritek crap blanks that you are using or if you wish to keep using this crap, burn it at a slower speed than 8x.

Try it at 2x and see what happens!!!

OK, I'll get something better. These are Memorex, what brand should I go with. Are all the big names like Verbatum trash too?

I'll let one of the other members that does a lot of burning answer that. Specific Verbatims used to be very good.

Memorex is made by all different manufacturers and the ones you have were made by Ritek.

I have basically given away burning now so do not have a lot of knowledge on the new verbatims.

I just rip to the hard disk on my media player.

Purchase the Verbs with the AZO logo only. Without the AZO logo it is a crapshoot.

                Hi kbrick

GregiBoy is right again , your media is Crap media "did I just say crap" consider picking up some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim with the Azo Dye label on the package like Gruñón posted, and he suggested or it will be a Crap shoot "did I just say crap again".

Consider installing ImgBurn and setting it up to work with Fab,it is free and here is a tutorial on how to set it up , if you install it do not forget to set up the AWS.

Also please update to the newest version you will find it here

Give this a try and post back

Does Taiyo Yuden make a duallayer disc? I cannot find any retail outlet that list them.
