Set for DVD5 it took 22 min. to rip to a hard drive.
Set for DVD9 it took 8 min. to rip to a hard drive.

If you are using the "free" version and not the trial you should not be able to do this movie as you will have to wait 30-60 days before being able to decrypt this disc

My registered version 8051 also works. DVD was ripped to hard drive in approx. 30 minutes and I'm watching it now with no problems.

Hey Ratty, I backed up my purchased copy of Sorcerer's Apprentice DVD movie and it worked flawlessly. No problems at all. I saved the copy to my hard drive and used PowerDVD v7 to watch it on my computer and it worked perfectly. And yes, I used the updated DVDFab v8.0.5.2 Beta registered version with PathPlayer set to ON. My recommendation to you is go purchase the DVDFab program and register it as I did, and stop using the free version of DVDFab. Anyway, good luck to you. If you are still having trouble after you purchased and registered DVDFab, post your issues as always. Later.

I have register versions too but you can't play the backup DVD. Yes it will play on my computer but then again computer software for reading DVDs and ripped DVDs movies is different then a DVD home player. I have a Sony Blu-ray player and 3 different DVD players and I get a DVD read error on all 4 players.

Update:
I just did a movie only copy with beta 8.0.5.2. Pathplayer enabled. Everything so far seems to be OK in all DVD players and the blu-ray as well

I did custom with this as I do every movie. I prefer everything original on the disc except for trailers and spoken foreign languages so I remove those. Plays just fine and I used version 8048. Took about 20 minutes or so.

It has been stated several times by several posters that there is no problem using the registered version of Fab.

The problem is with those using the free version.

The fix is either to purchase the software or wait until the free version is updated to handle the movie.

If you are having a problem with this move and a registered version of Fab start a new thread.
