DVD Copy wont let me burn to my DVD-R Disks

Hello, I just bought the DVD Fab DVD Copy last night. I had the 1 month free trial version first and it worked great. But last night after I bought the never expire version of the DVD Copy it will no longer let me burn to my DVD-R blank disks. Instead its telling me that I have to use a double layer media DVD+RW. When I start DVD Fab up, in the Target box it is reading

    E:\[TSSTcorp DVD+RW TS-L632D DE03 (lde)]

and I can't figure out how to change it. I have a dell intel core 2 duo laptop with windows xp. Its kinda old but it didn't seem to have any trouble when it was just the trial version. I have a whole new pack of DVD-R blank disks and would really hate to have to throw them away. Any help would be great.

In the lower left of your screen in the quality setting do you have it set for DVD9 or DVD5.

For single layer disk you need DVD5.

Thanks for getting back to me. In the quality box it is just blank and it wont give me a drop down screen. Beside the box it says Quality N/A. Maybe I have to have a disk in first before I can choose?

And in the registration box it says:

        [Enter Registration Key]
        Renew Registration Key

NOTE: The registration key is upgraded in version 5. If you have registered old version if you have registered old version of DVDFab before, please get your new key for free.

but I put the new registration key in when they emailed it to me after i ordered the never expire version. Do you think I should try putting it in again?

Thank you for your help by the way! Im not really that great with computers, lol.

Yup, there has be something for Source content, eg., a disc, in order to display DVD5 or DVD9 and the quality %.

Not sure what you did when you "put the new registration key in when they emailed it to me".,
but your program has not been activated...just as my pal BBR929 suspected...

          Firstly, download Fab v.8055...@ .
Save it to your hdd, close it and then right click on the installer and select run as administrator

Now on the same site, DVDFab.com, click on Members
Fill the forms and download your new regkey.
You may have to register there if you've not already done so.

Once downloaded, you should be able to simply double-click on the attachment and restart Fab to register (activate)
In order for this to work, the attachment should be dispalyed as the Fab-monkey icon.
If not, it needs to be associated with the program, but let's not go there yet...

I don't think we've updated the guidelines on the forum for the activation process yet.
In the interim, there is this somewhat outdated guide, but it may help.

Please let us know how you get on and post back with any problems

Thank you. I did all that you three suggested and now i am able to copy to my DVD-R's. I'm not 100% sure what fixed it but I believe it was just me needing to change the quality to 5 instead of 9 because even after i re-registered and put in a new key it still looks the same as it did before.....but maybe thats just because i dont know what i'm really doing, lol. Anyways thank you all for all your help!

Just to add to the comments, go to general settings and go down to DVD to DVD and on the Default Output Size make sure you have DVD5 selected and then it will default to DVD5 and that way you won't have to change the size on the main screen unless you are going to use a DL DVD9
