    Media Not Writable...?

    Hi there guys,

how are we? I'm having a problem making a copy of a CD. When I try to copy the full disc and start the process, it tells me that there was no media detected and to insert a compatible media to start the write process. I don't know what that means or what to do, but other dvd's work just fine. I don't know what type it is because there is a picture on the front, and does not say what type. Thanks for the help.

PS: This is not a movie I'm trying it on, this is my own video that I had someone originally burn into the CD. It's a wedding video. I cannot contact the person who burnt the video to the unknown type of CD. But if there is any other way please tell.

Sorry but DVDFab does not copy VCD movies. You will need to use either Nero, ImgBurn or another program that is capable to do that.

You can click start-computer and then right click the drive that it is in and select Copy. Then choose a location like Documents and the right click and select Paste. That will make a copy exactly like what is on the VCD in your documents folder. Then you can just burn that do a CD using ImgBurn or your favorite Video editing program

Hope you get it to work as my Wedding Video is as well a VCD and had to get it on the computer to make extra copies so I could store the original one away. I beleive ImgBurn will work to get it on another CD or to save to computer
