    dvd size

everytime i get a dvd single movie around 96% of dvd5 and choose dvd9 dual layer i get to the imgBurn and it says i can burn it on a dvd5 disk.
is this info correct? I tell it to go ahead and burn on a dvd9.
can i safely change it to single layer? or will it compress it to 96%?
why isnt dvdfab part telling me the same thing as imgBurn?

In a word, no...something is amiss, but I'm not sure what based on the info so far.
Img has no compression capability. It burns only what is fed to it.

What are your settings for Writable Media (DVD-5) Size in Fab's Common Settings and what is the movie file size that is being displayed as 96%?

      dvd settings
      writable media dvd5 size = 4300 (options are 4300, 4920, customize)
      writable media dvd9 size = 8100 (options are 8000, 8103 (-R), 8152 (+R), 8968, 8100, customize)

the movie is 4459 in size for main movie only "easy A"

i guess my media can hold alittle more - what do i do to tell it (or to get) the correct size my media can hold?

4300 is default for a single layer disk.

4472 is the max. for single layer disk.

4472 or less can be burned to a single layer disk.

        Mine is set at 4375.
