No go on Resident Evil Afterlife

Just finished backing up my copy of Resident Evil Afterlife with the latest 8.0.6.5. DVD won't play in DVD player, says nothing recorded. It will play on my computer. Tried it 3 times, same result all 3 times. No go on DVD player, but plays fine on computer. Any fix? Thanks.

    Hi jj1,

Please check if the disc format (DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW) can be support by your DVD player. You can try using a different brand/format media to burn again.

Well-known brands like Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim will be better; Please keep away of Memorex media, some of which are of poor quality. Try different format media like DVD+/-R/RW if your DVD writer supports.

Also, please check if your DVD player can support the format of playback (PAL, NTSC or SECAM). DVDFab don't touch the conversion between them.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm using the same DVD media that I have always used. I have made many many copies of my DVD's with no problems. I made several at the same time I made this one, and all others work except this one. There's just something new with the encryption on the Resident Evil Afterlife disc.

No problems with Resident Evil Afterlife 3 days ago.
There is no new encryption of any kind on this move.

          As requested post your logs.

Hope this is what you are looking for. As I've not had much trouble, I'm not entirely sure if this is it. Thanks

Your burner is in PIO...needs to be in UDMA.
Try the reset button in Fab and let us know.

You might consider better quality meduiia as well, but one thing at a time
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Where is the reset button and at what point do I push it? I tried the link in your post to resetdma.vbs, but it came back "No resettable channels with Windows drivers found. Nothing changed."

                  Hi jj1
As my friend Maineman suggested you need to reset DMA to do this
Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.
                  Hope this helps

Thanks guys, that did it. I don't know enough about it to know what the difference is, but resetting the DMA fixed it. Check for DMA Automatically was already checked.
