copying main movie to .iso fails on a remote target path

It's possible I'm just a kludz, but if I attempt to copy the main movie on a DVD to a target ISO on a remote path... I get an error message about the burning having failed.

If I repeat the operation, but have the target being an ISO on the local machine, it succeeds.

If I try to save the main movie to a folder on the remote path, instead of a ISO, that works fine.

Remote path is in the UNC style: \\machine\path\foo.iso

This is with 6.1.2.5. on XP, sp3.

    confused...

UNC's are not supported but I think it will work if you map the UNC to a drive letter.

      You're right. I see:

      Code:
2009-11-05 22:53:30	Error INIT ERROR: "\\Nas\qmultimedia\video\DVD_VIDEO.iso" is not a valid path.
      in the log file.

I'll try your suggestion of assigning a drive letter to the path and see what happens.

      Thanks.
