    Hi connieh1968
I am not sure as to why you are not getting the pop up,but your logs look fine except for the media you are using and the speed
2011-01-17 16:37:28 Info Media ID: CMC MAG-M01-00 and your burn speeds
    2011-01-17 16:37:28 Info Writing speed requested x8.0, effective x8.0
    2011-01-17 16:37:28 Info Available write speed: 8x ,4x
First the media, you are using some of the worst media out there sorry, consider picking up some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim with the AZO dye on the package.

I would also suggest using ImgBurn as your burn engine it is "free" and you will find it here along with a tutorial on setting it up with Fab remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and burn at 1/2 the rated speed of your disc's, which in this case would be 4x for the media you have now.

Give this a try and post back

Setting Up ImgBurn and DVDFab to work together

Tips for Posting DVDFab Logs in the Forum

Of all the movies that i have burnt, they played great...except for when it got to the end, it just stopped.

With that being said, that is why if never finished and that is why i never got my pop up telling me it was complete. Hmmm..

I will get new media, I have always used them and they have played just fine. I just burn, watch and pass on to friends, not keeping or collecting. Just very busy and only can seem to watch in the car when I"m driving into work. (yes, i know, don't even have to say it).

If I delete this software off and then reinstall, do you think that might help? Or repair it? I have done nothing but upgraded! Have been using it for years just fine.

So what speed should I be burning it at?

But...its not my burning that is not working...its when I"m copying it from the dvd to my computer....its not copying the end and will just lag there. The timer will continue to go and it will be at 99%, just won't finish and tell my its completed.

              Hi, connieh1968

              1. Please copy the origin dvd to HD with clone or fulldisc to retry.
              2. If fail, maybe the origin dvd is poor quality, you should exchange it.

              Thanks.

But its doing it on EVERYONE one that I try to burn....it doesn't finish them. It sat at 96% for over 2 hours last night.

                GRRRR this is aggrivating.....

Go back to post #16 and do everything suggested especially try ImgBurn 1st and follow the setup instructions to a (T) and then get a better brand of blank media also suggested in that post. (btw ImgBurn is free)
If it still fails go get a external burner, internal burners in lappys are not very reliable.

Either a bad disc or the drive is starting to fail...

                      W&B...

I re-red #16...again, what everyone is failing to read is that its the movie I'm trying to copy. NOT the one that I am burning to my bad choice of media.

I have tried this on 20 or so movies that I have in my own collection and want to make a copy for my car...your telling me that all are bad? I hardly think so.

I believe this has happened every since I upgraded to the previous version, not the latest. The one before 8.0.7.0. ( I think, not 100% positive).

I have used this software for well over 2 years with no issues, all of a sudden I have this issue.

I have other programs that I use to burn pictures and such, if the burner was going, would it not do it on them as well??

Weird that I am the only one that has had this issue....I just did it for Toy Story 2...it stopped on 96%

                      Here is my log....

                        Hi connieh1968
Sorry to hear that you are still having troubles.
A couple of questions ... I see that you are creating ISO files and then burning to disk.
Have you tried as I suggested, installing ImgBurn and using Fab and ImgBurn to create these ISO files???
Also how much free space is on your F:drive??? The reason for me asking is that all your files are at (4.20 Gb.)
What steps are you using... and what mode are you using "full disc"- "main movie"
Also what is you writable media size set for in Fab???

Please Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > DVD/Blu-Ray > Write

No I have not, but will do that now.

My F drive is a brand new 1T hard drive...only 3 or 4 movies on it and a few digital pics. So that is ok.

I will try that now and see how it works.

So I'm using DVDFab to just decrypt?

I've tried both main movie and full, I still get the same things, lags about 96%.

                            I've opened my Common Settings:

                            Writable Media (dvd-5) Size 4300
                            Writabe Media (dvd-9) Size 8000

Yes, Fab will decrypt the disc and then ImgBurn will kick in and create the ISO file for you.

Interesting, my F: drive, which is my external portable one that I burn all my movies too, anyways, when I downloaded imageburn, the pop up box that tells you what's going on...

THis is the error code I got...

W 23:49:28 Drive F:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size.

hmmm maybe that is my answer? I'm trying another movie now using my laptop hard drive instead of the external one.
