    DVDCopy 7, no surround sound?

I'm still using DVDFab7 to copy dvd's to a file. I just noticed the files seems to not be in surround sound. When I go to play the file using windows media player I only get sound from my 2 front speakers and my center spk. Not from my rear speakers.
I'm able to get surround sound from DVD's using the exact same set up.

Is this a limitation of that version? If so, does the newer version have surround sound capability?

It always has had this feature.

    What profile are you using?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'which profile'.

I noticed in the removing section, 'remove DTS audio' was grayed out. Is DTS audio 5.1 surround?
Does the current version have the capability of 5.1 surround?

Profile as in MKV, AVI, MP4 and so forth. Which ever profile you use are you going to the edit page and changing anything or using the default? Need more details...

Well you cannot just expect to play the VOB files and get surround sound.

Download VLC player and play from the folder (should look just like in a DVD player)

If that fails, you then need to look at your codec installation.

                Hi, adapa

                1. Please download the new version 8070 to retry.
                2. If you use mainmovie to copy dvd, you can select AC-3/5.1 audio track to test.

                Thanks.

Thank you. That solved the problem.

I got a new AV receiver for Christmas. So first I thought the problem stemmed from the receiver, then my sound card, then W media player & dvdfab. I am very glad it was a simple fix!
                  Thank you again.
