Task_1 failed! Error=700

I recently and repeatedly get "Task_1 failed! Error=700" when trying to copy DVD to DVD or DVD to .iso

Can't seem to find what error 700 is or what to do to copy those DVDs

This is my first post ever so I'm not sure what to enclose but I paste some lines from the logs - hope I'm close to what you need.

Hi janbanan,

Task_1 Error=700 means you were copying an entire DVD folder to another one.

DVDFab does not need to do any treatment.

Please try to use Main Movie or Full Disc mode to compress to DVD5 media and see the result.

If you still have the same problem, post your internal log file (not burn_vso.log) here, thanks.

Hi, and thank you for your reply but...

When I point to a DVD I get to choose Region code but then it goes "blank". No titles on the DVD is shown in the Dvdfab interface, no languages or subtitles.

At this stage I can't start any process (of course, no title/s or languages are chosen) not copy nor rip. If I try to copy the DVD (main title) and press start - this is when I get the 700 error.

Other than this, I can't do anything with the DVD. (Well I can make an ISO of it - but then again the ISO will generate the same as for the source DVD.)

This happens a lot more often now then I'm used to - this might of course be circumstantial. The movie I'm "experimenting" with now is "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted".

Reverting to version 8.0.3.2 solved all my problems with the above. Sadly newer versions of dvd copy (fab) seems to handle dvds poorer than earlier. Now all chapters and languages are shown and are "rippable" for all dvds that I had issues with.(tens of titles)
