    Computer hang up

This is my 1st thread so I hope this is clear. I copy DVDs to DVD+RW disks and DVDFab works perfectly by re-formatting the disk and copying the new film OK then ejecting the disk after finalization . After this my computer hangs up completely, even CTRL/ALT/DEL does not work and I have to completely reboot It does it both with full disk and main movie settings. My OS is Windows XP SP3. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions welcome.

        Hi, belzebu

        1. Please tell us if DVDFab pop up complete successfully dialog when computer hung up?
        2. You can copy dvd on HD firstly, and check if computer hang up.
        3. Then burn it on DVD-rw.

        Thanks.

          Computer hang up

Hello Katiekim, No, I do not get a "Completed successfully" pop up. At the end of the finalizing stage the disc is ejected and my computer hangs up. This is more of an irritation than anything serious 'cos after the reboot my computer is back to normal. The copied disc plays perfectly BTW. I'll try your suggestion. Regards

            Couple ideas,

            1) Enter Common Settings > DVD / Blu-ray > Write
            tick
Do not eject disc when finished urning

Perhaps this will force the "Completed successfully" popup.

            2) Update to 8073 and hopefully, your problem will disappear
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hail Maineman, Sorry, but I already tried that to no avail. Could try 8073 of course. One thing I have found is that if I use a brand new DVD+RW everything works perfectly. The fault only occurs when DVDFab has to delete data already on the disc. I lust copied American Gangster and the "Completed successfully" came up and everything. Thanks for your suggestion. Regards

Thanks for your reply. I have posted the log as requested. I have since tried copying to a brand new DVD+RW and everything worked perfectly so it looks as if the fault only occurs when DVDFab has to delete existing data while re-formatting. Also I found that after using a used +RW the copied files were not deleted from the folder, I have to do it manually. Hope this is useful. Kind regards.

                  Did you tick
Delete temporary files when done ?

                  Also in Common Settings...tick
                  Overwrite rewritable media automatically
(maybe you've done this too?...apologies if already addressed)

DVD+RW are not liked that much for some programs and it seems DVDFab is one of them. Try a DVD-RW to see if you have same problem as that what I use and do not have the problem that you have
