The default is Always Enable.. That is what it should be set at.

The Enable when necessary has been known to cause problems for the past several versions and should never be used.

With the exception of some older episodic DVD's that is correct. If you ever have a problem with a DVD of a TV series, sometimes pathplayer has to be turned off but always return it to "Always On"
