    Hi,

Install SP3 and the lock issue will be handled better.

    Info: LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165H6S HP10

Firmware HP16 is later than HP10.

Lower the burning speed from max to 8x.

    Maximum Write Rate: 78 KB/s (0.1x

    DMA enabled?

you can go to ImgBurn forum and they have some fixes for "Lock Volume", access denied! I've been haveing that problem for years! If that doesn't work, this is what I do! Copy your movie(s) to HDD, then close dvdfab and use Imburn to burn copy, will not have the "Lock Volume" problem anymore! Need run your filler buffer up to 350-385, makes a more constant burn! Your set at 20mb! Also get SP3, works alot better! A few little things can really help! Have learned from the best, Mod's, dvdfab team, and from other members! Hope this can be of some help! Also do the other suggestions from what has been posted by other's, I think you would be pleased by results!

Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't understand very much of your messages - I am not very "tech-savvy".

AGJ - sorry but I don't know what "DriveD is FAT32" means - could you please explain in more detail? thank you!

Gummigutta - I did update my computer with SP3 (won't even tell you how long that took me to figure out! ) However I was not able to update my firmware with the link you provided. It said something to the effect that my system wasn't able to handle it... I was also not sure where and how I was supposed to lower the burning speed, max write rate and DMA enabled... sorry but could you please explain a little more for me - thank you!

8855A - Thank you for your positive info. I tried to do a search in the image burn forums but, hopeless as I am, I could not find anything to help me with the "lock volume". If you would be so kind and send a link if you have one I would be grateful. I also could not figure out how to save to my hard drive (that is what HDD means, right?) and then copy with image burn. I'm so sorry but I am just not able to do any tech stuff without full instructions.

So... at the end of the day... I am still unable to burn to a new disk once dvdfab has copied my dvd. Please help!
        thank you!!!

ImgBurn.com is the website, then go to forum and you should be able to find the topic on LOCK VOLUME! To copy to HDD, just open dvdfab and at the top you have "source" and you have "TARGET", The target will show your drive, just click on that and you can change it to your HDD! It will say something like My Documents/dvdfab ect. then it will copy to your Hdd! Then you can close dvdfab and use ImgBurn to burn copy!, I had an old program and got rid of it, but it left behind, copy with Express Burn, along with copy with ImgBurn when I copy the ISO file! I don't know how to mess with the Dierectory to get rid of it!(EXPRESS BURN) which causes the LOCK VOULME! So I copy to HDD frist, then use ImgBurn to copy and no more Lock/Voulme! I'm just like you, I don't know much about this stuff!, but from useing DVDFAB Forum and all the experts for years you can learn just about anything, now excuteing them is a different story!, but I get by and love DVDFAB, FORUM, MOD's and MEMBERS! Everyone try's there best!

            Hi 8855A
Have you tried CCleaner found here under the Registry option or even Revo Uninstaller here to scan for leftover fragments of this program and be done with it.

I know this is off topic, I'm sorry.

              Hi 8855A,
Thanks for your post. Okay... I saved it on DVD fab to Target: "My Documents\DVDFab\Temp\FullDisc"
It finishes, I click Finish, then open up ImgBurn. I then select "Write files/folder to disc" and select the "My Documents\DVDFab, etc..." but then it tells me "File or folder does not exist" and then "There is nothing to build". I check under "My Documents\DVDFab, etc..." and under the "Video TS" there are over 20 files. What am I doing wrong? I even tried it under the "Create image file from files/folders" Please help!
              thank you

CBR929, I've been useing CCleaner for years and it wouldn't fix the problem!, but I'm going to try the "REVO" uninstaller and see if that works! Thanks very much! I've tryed everything from ImgBurn!, and nothing worked. In the past someone told me how to do the direactory, but I have no understanding of that! Thanks again for your suggestion!

snc808, after you close dvdfab and open ImgBurn, after you pick, files/folders to disc, then when that opens, go to the top left and click on File, then click on browse for soruce folder, a window will open, in that window you click on dvdfab, it will open full disc or Main Movie, click on each one! Then it will show the movies you have under Full disc or Main Movie, Then just click on the Movie you want to burn, click ok and that window will close and ImgBurn will have the movie listed in the box, ready to burn! Put Media in your drive, when it's ready, click and burn! You should have ImgBurn all set up before useing it! Like AWS, auto write speed for each Media that you use! All the other suggestions from this thread!

                    Hi 8855A
If I screw up my computer I will just reformat it and install everything again, it is how I learned about computers.
If you use Revo Uninstaller> advanced option be careful after it scans the registry for leftover files, just click the + sign and expand the folder to make sure that you are removing that program.

The install folder will be at either >> C:\Program Files\NCH Software or >> C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound depending on the application.
When you locate the applications folder, you'll be presented with an uninstall icon.

CBR929, I D/L the "REVO", and worked with it and got rid of the EXPRESS BURN, and the "LOCK VOLUME" access denied! Had to read for a while and figure it out, but it worked great! Way better than CCleaner! You the "MAN", thanks alot! That cuts out the extra steps I had to do to burn! This has been kinda a little project of mine to get this fixed, and I tryed alot of suggestions from everybody!, for about 3 years!, BUT it has been fixed! Just picking up little parts from here and there and trying, you can learn anything from this forum! I glad my problem is fixed, and I'm kinda gonna miss it!

                        Hi 8855A
                        I was glad to help
Just use Revo with caution, as one time I was deleting a version of 8 which I had problems with and at the last page where it had shown left over registry files in Bold, if I did not click the + and expand the file for reviewing I would have deleted all my "Registration Keys" for Fab
