    error= 116 ?

    I got this last night. Task_2 failed! Error=116 What would cause it please. Also..in the VSO it says "
    Error Write error at 1023152 (16) - Code 05 21 02 [Illegal request, Invalid address for Write]"
    "WRITE FAILED: write error occured at 26.8 percent of the write" I was trying to make a backup copy of Skyline

      what would cause it though ? happens about 75% of the time now no matter if its in mode 5 or 9

        Thanks for including the 2 logs that you did... could you also please add the burn log to that list?

            file to big to post so here is the section of the error

            also....when it does burn and it says successful but when I go to play it all it does is studder during the movie

                Thanx for your PM to me with the burn log.

                Your problem here is the media... Ritek is one of the poorer ones, especially for D/L media.

                If you have perused this forum at all, you'll have noticed that time after time, we keep recommending Verbatim media for D/L burns (especially the MIS - Made In Singapore - with the AZO label on the package) as the best for this kind of burn.

                They cost a bit more at the checkout, but compared to the coasters you get from other brands (such as your failed burns), I suspect the higher cost is recovered by the increase in productivity of good copies.

                P.S. Your write speed is set too fast - you'll get more successful burns at half the top rated speed (8X) of the disc. (= 4X)

                P.P.S. - don't limit our communications to P.M.s - there are others here who do scan these threads, and may learn from your errors... it's how we all learn...
