    Failed to burn to dvd

I am experiencing a problem when attempting to write DVD's. I have been using DVD FAB for years, and have never had this problem before. Up unitl the point that I upgraded in order to copy Transformer 2 & Up, I was able to copy and write movies with no problems. Lately I have been experiencing "DVD Failed to Burn" messages as i am writing the movies. I have been unable to write any movies. I read the forum, and downloaded the Imageburn file that some posts have referred.. I updated all my settings as instructed in the You Tube presentation, and I am still getting errors writing a movie to a blank DVD. I am using the same DVD's I have always purchased and used.

When writing through DVDfab using the VOS setting I get a Error message stating "DVD Failed to Burn"

    I need HELP!!

What can be the issue, causing the DVD WRITES to Error out??

    Thank You in advance

1st be sure to set your burn speed to 1/2 of what your media is rated for
    I 13:28:26 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: SONY16D1) (Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x) and you have it set for I 13:28:26 Write Speed: 8x
Now for the info you probably won't want to hear, the optical drive you're using is a slimtype in a lap top, hardly ideal for burning DVD's due to the high heat enviroment and most likely it's dying/dead. To trouble shoot Try setting the write speed as Troy512 suggested in his video (the first link) per disc id. if still no success then if at all possible borrow a usb type drive to work with and see the results.

btw stick with ImgBurn, you'll have much better odds of success.

Thanks for the insight.. I am using a laptop, and it has worked fine since I began to use DVDfab.. Just recently, I began to get these errors.. I can Read & play a DVD on my laptop.. But, now I just can't write on 1 anymore.. I followed the tutorial that Troy512 put up on YouTube, and I still got the error on Imageburn. I will try with a USB drive and see if it works.

Maineman also suggested to other users with the same problem instead of a usb type drive you can use an internal DVD burner in a external enclosure which probably is a better choice (sorry forgot to mention that earlier) probably cheaper to buy also.

Well I will add that DVDFab 6.2.0.5 can do the movie Nothing Like The Holidays as I did it with no problems and watched it last night as well.

THanks for all your help.. By lowering my Write speed, I was able to burn "SUCCESSFULLY!!".. YEsterday I was successful with Star Trek, Public Enemies, My Sister's Keeper, Up!, and MAdea goes to Jail.
