not recognize my writable media

I am having a problem, fab will not recognize my writable media when it is inserted, it continually ejects disc and requests writable media once again. Have tried different disc, to no avail. I am unsure if I am missing something minor, or if in fact there is a bigger problem? I am using a new pc, just installed, fab on couple days ago, but it will not recognize the media. Any suggestions?

You might try rebooting the computer. I've had the same problem and others as well that a cold reboot solved.
