Dvd read only after reset DMA

I have been having this problem ever since QT was released. When I insert a DVD is shows the open source status bar and then never opens. If I reset DMA it will work, sometimes. Other times I have to reinstall DVDFAB all together. I am using Windows 7. Any suggestions? Either way if you attempt to cancel the open source then DVDFAB locks up. A very big headache.

In DVDFAB click the green check mark and then under "General" put a check mark at always check for DMA. That's how mine is setup and always works for me.

Clean your CD-ROM device, and try again.
If you used win7, and when DVDFAB locks up"which cancel the openning source", please
click close button in thumbnail of taskbar. In fact, I repro this issue for long time, and push Dev to fix this everyday

I will clean the drive and see what happens. I have been able to force dvd fab to close, but this just take added time when I have to reopen the program. As for the automatically check for DMA. I already have that done, does not help.

I cleaned the drive, still no luck however. Any other suggestions?
