why do i have to use Double Layer DL discs

sometimes i can use a SL disc and then a lot of other times it says a DL disc is required,
of course i'd rather use the single layer disc because they cost a lot less

    any suggestins?

    Hi again,

Based on your last thread, you're using the retail app correct?
Simply navigate down on the opening splashscreen and choose DVD5 as shown in the attachment below.

Fab will compress the files as necessary to fit on an SL disc.
The amount of compression applied will be displayed as %

You can also change this permanantly in the "Settings" page. Go to "DVD to DVD" and select DVD5 as the default output size.
