    To add,

I have also tried checking my bios, removing my dvd drive in device manager.
All of which solved nothing. I have also removed a few programs, again still the same.
Im ripping apart my perfect install trying to find this issue, .

I have also noticed that sometimes, after running DVDFab, WMP12 can no longer play DVD's, however my other players are fine.
If I reset, I can play with WMP12 everytime, but after messing with DVDFab, it will stop working intermittently.

And as I said before, this is still happening:

When the "Change Source Drive" screen pops up, it gives me no buttons (that are visible). It just says "Change blah blah blah" and there are NO buttons to press.

Now I can't even get the screen to appear. All it does is still spin trying to change the hybrid layer...

On a side note, ImgBurn seems to be giving me errors now too. It still burns discs but it will say there was an error (when I try to switch/choose different ISO files in the program to burn). Then I have to click through the error screen and then it will burn.

The first picture is what it gives me when I

          a) uninstall the program and
          b) Install it

I chose "Yes" because I haven't updated any graphics drivers.

The second picture is what it does when it loads the discs. It just sits there and gives me this message.

And yes, I did clean all registries. There is something wrong with this version of the program.

Mine doesnt even scan the media, .
When I force it to, it says its attached F:\VIDEO folder, but it says drive not available.

Think others are having this issue, but its being put down to the users system. Its definately an issue, now we need to solve it.

Ive already ripped my perfect install apart for nothing and DVDFab team have no answer. Well from the posts I have seen on this issue in other threads, its just been dismissed.
I have an application I cant even use, .

What system do you have, as Im on windows 7 while your on WinXP.
            What hardware do you have.

            EDIT:- Gone back to 6.2.1.8.

Guess what, it works, now it has to be a problem with DVDFab.

            Internal Log;

I will now last version of DVDFab 7, see if it still works.

EDIT:- Installed DVDFAb 7.0.9.3 and get same problem.
Could this be a conflict with a Windows update?

              DVDFab 8.0.0.5
See's disc, starts analyzing then crashes.

Log looks the sames the 8.1.1.2Qt log.

Another insteresting fact, ccCleaner doesnt remove all the reg entries for dvdfab.
Plus you have to run it about 3 or 4 times, to get rid of most of it.

Last post from me, as I cant be bothered anymore.
                The authors dont seem interested.

I spent 30 mins, going through the whole registry deleting every single piece of DVDFab (after uninstalling it).
So it was like I had never ever installed it.
I then installed 8112Qt and restarted, I ran DVDFab and you guessed it, it wont read disc.
Really fedup now, it also 100% breaks DVD playback in WMP 12 after running DVDFab.

The registry is not someplace you should be playing in unless you know exactly what you are doing. This board would be lit up like a pin ball machine if what you say is true, the fact is that the problem lies in your computer not in the program, and since noone else is having this problem and we cannot see your computer and you did not give us enough information to help you, good luck.

I know exactly what Im doing. Do a search, lots of people are having this issue and simular issue.
If I install DVDFab6, it works fine, install 7, it crashes, install 8, it doesnt read discs.

So thats my computer? wonder how you came to that conclusion, have you actually read all the posts?
Even CBR929 cant understand why its not working, as all my logs are fine.

                    Just for the hell of it, heres the latest log (nothing new);
                    DVDFab 8.1.1.2 (2011/08/16 00:24:15)

                    0m 03.97s: option dvd2dvd 1 dvd2mobile 1 bluray2bluray 1 bd2mobile 1 bd23d 1 bd2dvd 1 file2mobile 1 filemover 1
0m 04.35s: Qt Translator file load success
                    1m 00.63s: css attach F:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
                    1m 00.65s: css attach F:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.BUP

It loads Qt Translator, then ignores my disc's. If I point it to the DVD Drive, I get "Failed to open F:\"

EDIT:- Just gone back to my first oringal posts here and I have never had DVDFab working since V6. So its all the Qt versions that dont work, seems funny that.

Well that seems to be a compatiblity issue that you will have to work out, since we do not have access to whats on your computer we cant tell why it works for most but not for a few. What information besides those logs that tell us nothing. If your installation has not worked on any QT version, what does that tell you? It tells me there is a compatiblility issue with something you and maybe a few others have installed, or maybe a simple A/V whitelist issue. Have you considered this, or do you think that everyone is buying this program because it doesn't work. Give us more information on your build and your apps. and maybe we can see whats running in your task manager that can conflict with Fab. It could be as simple as crap media. Who knows?

Hence I was asking the other guys specs.
But your missing the crucial point, V6 works but V7 doesnt.
So obviously something in V7 and V8 are causing the problem.

I find it crazy that others have gone out buying new hardware to solve DVDFab issues only to find it doesnt help.

If it was a complier issue it would be way more prevalent than it is. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and it works fine, all the QT versions have worked fine, maybe a glitch that was fixed in a new version but fine non the less, V7 and V8 are successful for 90% maybe more of the people that buy it, yes there are those that have issues with their rigs that are unknown until you install a program that interferes with the processes. Again unless you give us more information we cant help. What is running in the background on start up? What OS are you running, what other DVD copy programs do have, are you using any programs like Alcohol that may have an advserse effect on the Fab engine, we are not in front of your computer. You are. Tell us whats happeneing , just saying it doesnt work and posting a useless log is not helping us help you.

Did you put Fab in the Whitelist of Nortons A/V. Go into the start menu and make the nero Aspi .dll is not enabled on start up. How much space do you have left on your hdd? Is this a laptop or a desktop? Did you build it or is it a name brand? I find it hard to believe thats all thats running on startup, have you looked into your Startup Folder,Start, Run, " Msconfig" "Startup Tab." ?

I have disabled everything else (as you put it crap media).

Have you gone into Device Manager (Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager) to see if there are any (?) question marks there?

If there are, they represent (necessary) missing chipset drivers that you need to make the drive work properly.

If not... I'd give a good hard look at Norton Antivirus as a possible cause for your current problem... Norton has proven to be an frequent offender in the past...

Not a solution, but at least a starting point for investigation...
