    help me please...

    I'm a newbie to posting on this site so if in wrong spot i'm sorry.
    I have been trying to burn star trek, Last house on left, and assassination of highschool pres. I just updated to new version of fab this morning and every disc I load now says in the format column that its an MPEG2 file. I can start the rip on main movie and full disc, but when asked for a blank disc it ejects and says that i need to put in a dual layer. I've googled for help and been all through these forums. so i would appreciate any help i can get. Please make response as simple to follow as possible. thankyou!!
    P.S. I have already tried disabling pathplayer. no fix.

    Do you have a paid version of Dvd Fab 6.2.0.5? If you do then you need to change from dvd 9 to dvd 5. Dvd fab will automatically compress the file to fit on a sinle layer dvd.

    ........................Dvd fab asks you for a dual layer disk because the size of the file you are copying is greater than 4.7 giga bytes............................................. ......................


    If you have a trial version than you can not compress to a dvd5 ( single layer dvd).

      If you have a trial version than you can not compress to a dvd5 ( single layer dvd).
      The trial version will compress to fit DVD5 disc until it expires after 30 days.
      It is the free version that will not compress.

          thanks for the help.

          Yes i have a paid version of fab. I took your suggestion and switched to DVD5. worked like a charm. Thankyou for your help. My hours of frustration are over!
