I've noticed a big difference in rip times between the QT version and the older style 8.0.8.5 for all DVDs. For example X-Men First Class. To rip the DVD Main Movie takes almost 1.5 hours-yes hours using 8.1.2.5 QT. Using 8.0.8.5 takes 12 minutes. This is the same disk on the same PC. It has been this way at least since .21. (If not earlier.) The other issue in 8.1.2.5 QT is the Preview window. Arbitrarily it will just disappear. It is still playing but the video pane just goes away unless you click on it. And before, when you began to actually rip the disc, the video would stop playing and lower itself back into its shelf. Now it just continues to play so I have to mute it so I don't have to listen to it while ripping. Just a couple of observations with the latest.
