    Backing up Surgical Spirit

    I'm having trouble backing up Surgical Spirit (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0042QWWSQ) with DVDFab.

    It takes a long time for the disc to open and then everything "seems" to work but when playing back the copy the issue appears.
    On disc 1 episode 2 is unplayable, though the other episodes on the disc are fine. This happens using both DVDFab v8.1.2.6 Qt and v7.0.9.3

    Using the trial version Other Software I was able to rip a usable ISO image off my original disc so I have a working backup. However I thought this might be some new copy protection which needs to be added to DVDFab, hence this post.

      My apologies for mentioning other software. If I hadn’t then most peoples first thought (and admittedly my first thought too) would be that I had faulty original media. But lesson learned; I won’t use names again, I consider DVDFab to be the best tool for DVD backups and I want it to be able to handle all of my discs.

      I had not tried 8.1.3.2 Qt as it hadn’t been released when I was trying to do my backups. I have now installed it and attempted backups with and without pathplayer enabled but I still have the same problem with disc 1 episode 2 being unplayable.
