Still unable to read fully or burn w/o errors

Still unable to use DVDfab (although DVD Decrypt reads w/o any problems). During read phase, it faults & I get errors (unable to read, etc). I press abort and it continues to read. (Over and over until finished). Tried making a copy of Cowboys and Aliens, several errors, stated copied OK, disk plays OK up until chapter 11 (think that was the one) then it freezes, lots of pixtilation, and it starts back up in a few minutes. Then plays to end OK. (Repeatable).
Nothing seems to help. Same with every commerical movie I own, nothing can be copied since about a year now.

Your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.

What's "borked"? Fairly new drive. If you mean the drive is bad, strange it would read without fail in DVD Decyptor. (?)

This is a quote from me in response to one of your threads back on 4/8/11.
Apparently, nothing has changed.

The advice still stands.

I'm pretty sure the PIO mode error is a red herring.
I've seen it reported as a bug in recent versions running VSO.
There's no way the drive is in PIO and yielding a burn @4X in roughly 22 minutes with DL media.

No harm to reset DMA though, simple click of a button and who knows?

Definitely switch to Img as suggested and follow CBR929's advice set up.

Also, don't take this personally, but the Moser Baer media (MBIPG101-R10-41) is crap.
Pick up some Verbatim DL...there are a ton of posts here on the forum.
