Trouble reading copies in the car

    Hello,

I am hoping for some suggestions on getting my copies to play inside the car.
our "Mom-Mobile" is a chevy venture with a factory built in dvd player and I cannot get it to play any copies I make.
I am using an ASUS drw-24B1ST drive which I changed to because it was one of the ones that is supposed to be able to change the "Bit Setting"?? not sure if that is the correct term, but it is supposed to be able to make the Recordable DVD present itself as a DVD-Rom. I have the option for "Set Book Type to DVD-Rom" turned on and I have tried 4 different types of media DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL and a couple of different brands but mostly I use Philips brand.

I have upgraded the software several times and my latest is 8.1.3.6

I have not gotten anything to work in the vehicle. the same unit has no trouble reading recorded CD's if that is any help.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
    DK

+R, +R D/L and +RW can be bit set, you can't with -R. I use Verbatim +R and change the booktype (bit set) to DVD-ROM and have good luck in the car player. I also burn with ImgBurn.

Also you need to update to 8.1.5.5, you are several versions behind.
