I just re-upped my subscription and downloaded 6.2.0.5, but for some reason, it is the non-CSS version. i entered the product key, but it still does not work and I can not rip newer DVDs. any advice?

Download from right here on the Fab Forum (css) on one of the stickies for 6.0.2.5 or one of the beta versions depending on your needs.If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
