DVD players are much more forgiving of read errors than a bit for bit backup program. You can't conclude that just because it plays in a DVD player that it will backup without error. Try giving the disk a good cleaning and failing that exchange it.

yeah i know they are, really no big deal, this is an old movie i wanted a back up for. no issue here, have no complaints with dvdfab.

The first thing you should do is update to the latest version which is 8.1.6.8 then try disabling Pathplayer since it is an older movie.
