    Rip times

I am trying to understand what factors are involved in how long it takes DVDFab to copy a DVD.

There are times that I will get a 3-disc show. I will copy them so that the children don't damage the originals.

When I copy Disc 1 and 2, dvd-9, it can copy at 8-10MB/s. However, when I go to copy Disc 3, another dvd-9, it can copy at 12-16MB/s.

Why would disc 3 copy so much faster using the same hardware, and same software?

    Hi wallyps
There are many factors that come into play when copying disc's.
Content, bit rate, size of the movie......
If you are not having any problems or errors I would not worry about it.

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

I'm not having problems. I was just trying to understand why disc 1 would rip on 8 minutes and disc 2 would take 35 minutes.
