Failed to burn happening a lot lately

I have used this product for a long time with few issues until recently. I have had no changes (hardware or software) to my machine in over a year except dvdfab updates. However with 8.0.8.5 QT I have had nothing but burn problems. I run XP with SP3. I have used the same media for copying for the last two years.

My latest copy error resulted in the following log:

        Hi dahemp
Just because you are using the same discs does not mean that they are the same quality, as manufactures are always out sourcing to the lowest bidder to make their discs.

The only media you should ever use is Verbatim with the AZO Dye on the label or Taiyo Yuden.

You could try using the DVD Fab burn engine or Imgburn that most of use use.
If you would like to use ImgBurn you will find instructions in the link in my signature on setting it up with Fab.

This should not matter but are you using the free version or paid version of Fab.

Reason for asking is that your logs show that you are either expired or using the free version in which the title may not be supported yet.

        Awaiting your reply

I am using the paid version i have no idea why the log shows the expired. I quit using verbatim because i couldn't get them to burn at all. The Memorex i am using is from the same package I used two months ago and there were no issues when i first opened the package.

            Hi dahemp
Make sure that you are registered correctly.
Open Fab click the ? click about, this should tell you your registered modules.
You can download your keys here http://www.dvdfab.com/member.htm

Create an account, use the e-mail that you used when you purchased Fab and create a password.
            Hope this helps

EDIT Also please try to use ImgBurn as your burn engine using the link I have in my signature.

I am registered correctly. I have a registered version with a number and my product never expires.

This line in the log means the media is not being recognized: "Error Write error at 0 (16) - Code 03 57 00 [Medium error, unable to recover TOC]" and it's not picking up the MID. I would try a wet cleaner disk in the drive first to clean the laser of any debris, but the laser might have died, it happens.
How to post the internal log

I'm betting that it is the Memorex disc's.

                    try this

                    Hi dehamp
Back in the day, when Moses was moderating, way back, memorex disks was giving everyone fits, especially the dvd+r. So try this. Go to common settings and under the write tap you will see a box for 'set book type to dvd+rom only for dvd+r/rw disks and check that box. Again back in the day the memorex disks needed that setting for some strange reason more than anything. Hope it can help.
