    dual layer

I have been using this for years and have been very happy with the software and it's performance - until now. I have done absolutely nothing different than I have been doing all along. I have not adjusted anything i.e. settings etc. However, on my last runs, after the copy process is complete and it asks to insert a blank disc I do - as I always have - but now it's rejecting the disc I put in and says it requires a duel layer disc. I thought at first it may be a new decripter for new movies etc., but I then put in a very old dvd - before duel layers were even invented - and the exact same thing is happening - asks for a duel layer blank disc. What gives?

A couple things to check: click the question mark at the top and make sure DVD Copy hasn't expired on you, key may need to be rerun. And check the quality box (center bottom) to make sure it hasn't defaulted to DVD-9 instead of DVD-5.

Have you checked the setting in Common Setting to see if it says DVD5 and not DVD9.
Also look at the bottom left of the screen and see what the setting is.
      see attachment .
