    Burning Process failed

    Hi,

I'm a newbie. I have the DVD to DVD package only.
Does anyone know how to resolve the problem of copying a disc which spits out three quarters way through at 95% done, stating that the copy process failed with no explanation as to why? This is the first time this has occurred since I registered as an owner as this problem used to occur before I registered it. Now it is happening again.....HELP!! It is so annoying as it renders the blank disc useless!!

      Hi,

My system is a Dell Optiflex GX520 with 500mg of Ram. I don't have any other burning programme installed except for Nero Express which I use for burning CD's.

The other problems that occurred were that every time I inserted a blank dvd for copying, it would tell me to put a double layer disc in, despite previously being able to burn multiple episodal DVD series onto one single layer disc? This problem of spitting out perfectly ok blank dvd's was also occurring prior to registering. I purchased DVD to DVD and was sent an e-mail and registration code. Once I passed this hurdle, it worked fabulously til last night, when once again this "copy process failed" message appeared on screen and the disc ejected. It seems to correlate with error message [B]116HWS[

I'm quite frustrated with these ongoing problems as I thought I paid good money so that these would no longer occur?

Please get back to me asap?

      Cheers,

      Jenny Allen

        Hi again,

I'm using Windows XP if that helps at all?

        Cheers,

Need those logs to nail it down until then it's a guessing game. Maybe someone else can guess what it is... is probably your answer for one of your questions in the last two post.

I've been trying to send you the logs you asked for, but each time it tells me that they are too long and to shorten them to 1000 characters!! This is despite the other person sending a huge log to you. I am confused now. Is there any way I can send them via a normal e-mail as this seems to be getting me nowhere.

It seems that DVDFAB worked better for me when it was a trial version as I never had any of these kinds of problems? I notice a suggestion to use Verbatim dble layer discs, but I never had to use these before as single layers worked fine and this is what I prefer to use?

            Cheers,

Just attach them to the post or edit them to the most recent then copy and paste.

                Hi Jenny,

I opted to edit your personal info from your post #4.
I would suggest that you do not post your email addy as you will be subject to all kinds of nasties such as spambots. I also removed your other personal info for similar reasons...again all kinds of unsavory and predatory folks out there.

It's fine to pm someone that you trust like W&B, with your email, just don't post it.

As another option you can zip the burn logs and then post them.
We probably just need a couple anyway so just go ahead and c&p a portion as W&B suggested
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

SheelaNaGig since you have nero installed you just might have nero Incd installed as well and that will play havoc while burning. If you was able to post a list of filters installed on your computer that would be of great help to us in order to help you better in addition to those logs

                        Hi Super Moderator,

I didn't realise I included my e-mail address? This is scary stuff. All I want is to try to find a solution to my problem? I have already tried to edit the log and just c & p but each time it has said it is too large, even when it is only a small portion? How do I include it as an attachment?

                          Hi,

I don't have the disc of Nero as someone downloaded it for me. Can I disable Nero somehow while I am using FABDVD6 as I still use Nero for CD burning?

                          Cheers,

                          SheelaNaGig.

                              Hi,

I think I sent the first log via the short reply option. Sorry, but I didn't understand what "reply with quote" meant or "multi-quote". It must be a "lingo" thing? Anyway, it worked and that is the main thing using this option.

Hopefully you will be able to get to the bottom of my problem now? If you need any further logs, let me know. Thanks for editing my post. I just get used to using my real name. What do you mean by "PM"? See, I'm Australian and that is my excuse!!

Someone made a suggestion about the fact that I have Nero Express on my system? It isn't the disc. Someone downloaded it onto my system. I find it useless for DVD burning but I use it for CD burning. What do you think?

Are you in the US or Canada? It is fascinating talking to people from so far away!

I hope you can help me and thanks once again for looking after me. I'm glad someone is!

                              Cheers,
