Hi everyone,
Newbie here!
I have been using DVDFab5 on my IBM desktop for a year now and just love it. I haven't updated it to 6 because I just don't see the need, it works too well.
I bought a new Dell laptop and installed it on that one. The first few times I used it, it worked good, no problems. However, it started "messing up". I put the original in and it worked all the way in the first phase. It ejected the original and asked me to put in the destination disk. I put one in (Memorex DVD-R) and it started out okay. Then about 5 minutes in, it ejected the disk and said, "Failed" and asked me if I wanted to try again. I tried a couple of times doing that, but I have to restart the computer and then start over again to try that.
After that, it may work for a time or two, but, most of the time, it does the same thing. I have trashed about 10 disks as a result. I unistalled FAB and then reinstalled it and it may work a time or two or have the same problem. I compared the "failed" disks and they look like they burn exactly the same distance on the burned side, about a half inch.
Keep in mind that it works perfectly on my OLDER IBM desktop. Both machines run Vista Home Premium.
Any help would be appreciated!
