    Rebel Without a Cause

The James Dean classic, two-disk edition. Attempts to clone disk 1 gives a read error @ about 4.2%. The disk is like new. Any ideas?

OK, turning pathplayer off made no difference. Tried getting v9, but my member center registration fails (posted over @ that forum). So here's my logs.

          Hi Madness
Your receiving read errors, please clean and polish the disc and try again.

You may also have a bad disc Download VSO Inspector found here http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php

Play the movie in a soft player like windows media player, as the movie itself is playing pause it but do not close or exit out of it.

Now start VSO Inspector and run a scan of the disc, if you have any errors then you have a bad disc.
          Hope this helps

OK, I checked the disk surface & there's not a scratch or speck or dirt on it (but I wiped it down for good measure). Ran VSO Inspector & it discovered a small block of bad sectors. So, it's a bad disk (I'll exchange it).
