Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen DVD reported as 71GB and won't copy

When I try to do a Full Disc copy of Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen DVD (region 2) I get the following problem:

When the DVD is inserted, DVDFab reports it as being 71GB (which is nonsense of course). As a result, it then claims it needs to reduce it to 10% to copy it. Amazingly - when I say "ignore all errors" - it does actually do this, which results in a working copy on the hard drive that looks rubbish because of the incredible down scaling.

I've tried this on 6.2.0.5 on Windows 7 64bit, 6.2.1.0 (Beta) on Vista 32bit and 6.2.0.5 on Vista 32bit (different machine altogether) and get exactly the same result on all of them.

I've seen many problems with this movie on the forums, but haven't seen this one.

Looking at the DVD just in windows, it does indeed claim the huge file sizes in Explorer, so I guess it's the publisher trying some annoying copy protection and messing up the FAT with cross linking the files or something.

I'm using a Region 2 DVD (English, UK).

NB: the disc does actually PLAY fine from beginning to end in all drives and on all machines tested just using Media Player so there's nothing wrong with the physical disc.

I want the full disc with special features etc. so using the Main Movie work around I've read about in the forums is no good.

Any plans to address this problem?

Please don't forget we Region 2 guys - not all DVDFab customers live in the US/Canada!

    Many thanks,

    Steve

You're welcome, That is the new default setting btw. On some older dvd's/tv series you may need to disable sometimes.
