    Error Code 102

I am having problems with making a backup copiy of three of my DVDs - Safe, Someone Like You and Penelope.

I've tried using both full disc and main movie with the same results: Task_1 failed! Error=102. I've also tried with and without pathfinder.

I get the same results using full disc in version DVDFab 8.2.2.2.

    Please help.

    Thank you,
    Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, your logs and the error code indicate read errors, you can try cleaning the disc and inspect for scratches, scuffs and other damage. Some discs are manufactured poorly and just won't copy - good luck!

Thanks 90312, no scratches, cleaned discs and just finished watching Safe on my Sony Blu-ray/DVD player with no problems.

I get the same error whether using my other 2 DVD drives.

      Could it be my settings?

Keep in mind that playing on a set top player and making a backup copy are two completely different things and are unrelated, the fact it plays is meaningless. You can download VSO inspector and run it on the discs to see if there is a physical reason the disc won't copy. Or you can set DVDFab to ignore read errors and see if it copies.
