crashing looking for server not the issue

When I originally installed DVDFab v9.0.1.6 I never had any issues and upgraded to v9.0.2.0 and started get the same issues as others and have been thinking this is the authenication to the server that is causing the problem.

On further looking into the dvdfab_internal log file, I don't think this is a server authenication issue (well not on my side), but more to do with the burning engine.

Previously I would get the following, but now the software crashes somewhere after the 3rd line and before the init burn engine successful.

    Code:
0m 03.76s: Init GPU settings sucessful.
     0m 03.76s: option dvd2dvd 1 dvd2mobile 1 bluray2bluray 1 bd2mobile 1 bd23d 1 bd2dvd 1 file2dvd 1 file2bluray 1 file2mobile 1 filemover 1
     0m 03.76s: dvd2dvd:dvd2mobile:blu-ray2blu-ray:blu-ray2mobile:blu-ray23d:blu-ray2dvd:file2mobile:file2dvd:file2bluray:
0m 07.01s: Init burn engine successful.
Hopefully the above may help in finding out what is causing the crashing for many users

if you notice in the following bits of the log, the information regarding what is being parsed is actually different. Also not sure if the connect type=0 means it failed to connect thus returning invalid information back to the app

I have the same issues. Tried the Beta version 9.0.2.1 and do not even get to the opening screen.

When I try to load the 9.0.2.1 beta version, it freezes at the finishing installation screen. If I go into the task manager and manually end the process for DVDFAB.exe, the installation then finishes. A screen pops up with a message about DVD9.0.2.1beta. I click next and get a screen that has two options to start DVDFAB9 and to show what's new. I click finish and get an hourglass next to the pointer and then nothing. Checking task manager shows nothing running in the applications tab and shows dvdfab in the processes tab. If I reboot the computer, I get a message that dvdfab is not responding, would I like to end that process now. I am running windows XP pro with SP3. This is the log file:

OK. When I started this, I updated the video driver from my laptop manufacturer. I continued to have issues. I went to the video card manufacturer website and it directed me to my laptop manufacturer. I finally dug a little deeper into the video card manufacturer's site and found an updated driver. It is not approved by my laptop's manufacturer but it solved all of my problems. Thanks for the help that was given in several different threads.
