    Hi peeky
Your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.

I also believe that you may still have problems with this media.
    Error your getting is 122
122 HWS_FAILED_CALIBRATING 22 // Write failed at the beginning of the media (often a media that is poorly supported by the drive)
Try lowering your burn speed to 4X, you may have better results using ImgBurn as your burn engine, you will find instructions in the link in my signature on setting it up with Fab.

Remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and your burn speed to 4X.
    Hope this helps

      Hi CBR929,

First off, thank you for your help!!

      What do you mean by:

"media that is poorly supported by the drive"

I have never had issues with either of my dvd drives so I am not sure what you mean.

      Thanks,
      Peeky

I first tried the fix you told me to do by clicking on green check. I reset, rebooted and tried to copy again.

          This time I got task_2failed! Error=106

          Is imgburn my only options?

          What is error 106?

          Thanks

              Hi peeky
It is not your drive, but the discs that your using.
I only use quality media "Verbatim discs" for my burns and never have an issue.

You would use this download link Mirror 7 - Provided by ImgBurn
106 HWS_BADMEDIASTATUS 6 // Media is not ready to be written

Was this file that your trying to burn created by DVD Fab?

Your drive also has a firmware update, but we will not focus on that now.

Try installing ImgBurn and setting up AWS in it, just take it slow and follow the directions and post back.
              Hope this helps

Hi CBR929, thanks again for trying to help me

                  Okay, I tried image burn.

I got the message "This disc is copy protected!"

                  Copyright Protection System Type: CSS/CPPM
Sorry, ImgBurn cannot read copy protected discs.

So I bought DVDfab to be able to copy copy protected dvd and I can't copy it.

So far DVDFab has been a failure.

What do I do now? Can anyone help me?

                  Thanks

                    Hi peeky
For single layer discs you would choose this for +R http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-97459...verbatim+discs this for -R http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-97460...verbatim+discs and for DL+R this http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-96542...verbatim+discs you could also choose these for DL+R http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-96577...verbatim+discs

You do not have to buy them in the larger spindles as I have shown, but, notice where it says AZO dye on the label.
You will "ALWAYS" buy the ones that have the AZO dye on the package label and "NEVER" the data life discs.

Imgburn will not copy a protected disc, if set up correctly it will burn the disc either by itself or in conjunction with Fab.
                    Hope this helps

Hi CRB929, so when I put disc in to copy image burn is what opens.

So how do I used DVDFab for copying movie and imgburn (I guess) for the buring info onto a blank disk. I am sorry I am so ignorant!!

But what are the steps being that when I put the movie dvd, imgburn is what opens up for the process and than I get IMGburn can't copy protected disc, so I know somehow I need the default to be DVDfab, but how do i tell it to use imgburn.

Thanks for teaching my non tech self!!

As I watch the process it goes:

                              Analyzing of DVD started
                              Analyzing of DVD completed sucessfully
                              Copy process started
                              Copy process completed successfully

At this point: The movie disk has been ejected but DVDfab is still in action, right now it is

Burn DVD folder (C:\Users\Adminstrator\Documents\DVDFab\Temp|FullD isc|name of movie

Shouldn't this be burning to my inserted dvd?

                              Thanks,
