Windows 8 won't accept registration key

I've recently installed a version of Windows 8 Pro to dual boot alongside a current edition of Windows 7 Ultimate. Installing the DVDFab version as above, I cannot get the programme to accept my registration key, the licence details window shows all versions as trial and expired. My name and licence numbers do not appear in the window either, although if I click the 'Enter Registration Key' button, I can see that the key is already there in the window that opens. Some help would be appreciated

Did you copy your key you received when you purchased DVDFab from the W7 side and move it over to the W8 side and double click it?

Thank you, I did, maybe I should try again after running Ccleaner ...

Uninstalling, running Ccleaner then re-installing a few days later (I'd been away from the PC) seems to have done the trick.
