    Santa BUddies DVD Stalls?

First Time I have seen this, but during the rip process things go humming along pretty nicely till about the 68% mark then the rip starts to slow down
to a crawl eventually just stopping?

I am using latest beta version of Fab on a Vista machine that has not seen this issue before.

How much ram does your computer have? How much is in use when this happens?
Not having enough ram will cause this problem. Not saying this is your problem.
            Just a question worth asking.

Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one.
First time it happens, and just this one. "Santa Buddies"

              Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
              Vista 32bit /Intel Duo CPU T7700 2.40Ghz

If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
              No external drives

If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
              No

If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.
              Nothing recently installed.

The rip is humming along at 4.32 MB/s then at around the "Percent 65" it begins to slow down eventually down to 0.48 MB/s at which point I just selected Cancel. The disc is perfectly clean, I did a different movie after that one with no issue?

              I found the vso log:

Have you tried it using the main movie option?
I did not have any trouble at all with this movie, mine being region 1.
But i only use the main movie option.
Try this if you have not already.

Looking at the log the only thing I can see is that your disc may be a bad press. I pulled the above from you posted log. If you still have the receipt I would bring the disc back and exchange it.

I saw that, but the disc plays just fine on my laptop as well as on my home DVD players, and it looks good, guess that is the only other thing it could be.

The only other thing I could suggest is that you need to update your firmware.

has to be a bad pressed DVD exchange it like mentioned already also the matshita dvd drive on your laptop is the worst dvd drive to have and gives the most problems when doing movies. I would suggest investing in an external DVD drive for burning your movies

As you're no doubt aware, you're more likely to experience errors/problems when ripping a dvd as opposed to playing.
It's likely to be a bad press as suggested.

I know you said the dics looks ok, but please run through the list in this thread and please clean it (#3) regardless:

I can't get it to rip at all and I been using Fab for 3 years.
Turned pathplayer on and off and it does no good. Main movie, custom and full disk will not work. After I start to rip it goes to 26% and says read error.

I did this movie using DVDFab version 6.2.0.5 the day it was released and had no issue. I am in region 1 Canada and had pathplayer always enabled and did Full DVD to a Taiyo Yuden DVD+R blank DVD that I burned at 8X speed using Imgburn and booktyped to DVD-rom
