Process Failed error message - no info.

When I try and use the Write Data function I get a Process Failed message. There's no error information or codes in any of the logs.

If I uninstall and reinstall the CDROM driver, the Write Data function works 1 time; then I have to uninstall/reinstall again. Note: I don't think this is a problem with the CDROM because I don't have this problem with any of my other applications. I'm running Windows 7.

Anybody else run into this problem? Any info will be much appreciated.

    Joe

      Process Failed - RESOLVED

I received the email below from Vivian at DVDFab. I followed her instructions and it seems to have resolved my problem. Thanks, Vivian!
(Note: I upgraded from 8.2.2.2 to 8.2.2.7, on Windows 7. I left my write speed on "Automatic", instead of Vivian's suggestion of setting it to 4x, and got excellent results).

      Joe:
      __________________________________________________ ________

"1. Please try to install DVDFab 8.2.2.7 at http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm to see if you still have the same problem.

      2. Please install Imgburn at http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download,please just install Mirror7.Then click the round green icon button with a check mark at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "write", set the burning engine as Imgburn, then burn again to see the result.

      3. Please open Common Settings(the green mark button in the right upper areas of the main window)->General->A/V Codec, set both video decoder and encoder as software(or simply check the box of "Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding"), then convert/copy again to see the result.

      4. Please click the round green icon button with a check mark at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "write", change the write speed settings for your need, if the max is 8 , usually we suggest you set to 4.

Any questions in future, please feel free to contact us.

      Sincerely yours,
