    Show Drive letter of DVD-rom

    Hi,

In my computer I have two DVDrom drives. When I burn a DVD I can't see which drive is used for the current process. So which drive can I open to burn a second DVD simultaniously?

Can you please show the drive that is used somewhere?

It would help to know what operating system you have as this will affect how you go about making the changes. I am on Windows 7 and while there may be other ways of doing this, here is what I do.

In the Control Panel is an Administrative Tools program - open it.
After the program opens, there is a link to Computer Management - open it.
Right-click on each drive to change the letter (you may need to scroll to see the drives).

If you have two or more drives with the same manufacturer and/or the same firmware, it can be difficult to know which drive you want. As such, I have labeled my three drives as "U" for upper, "M" for middle and "L" for lower. When I had two drives, I used "U" & "L" or "T" & "B" (top and bottom).

Do not change your hard drives letters (e.g. "C") as the path name tells the OS/programs where to find the needed files.
