Preview crashes the program

I just updated to 9.0.4.0 (from 9.0.3.7). The first disk I'm backing up is The Hobbit.
On the customize menu, when I try to preview (any of the 4 items listed), the program crashes:

I'm having the exact same issue.

Could you please check the preview engine setting (directshow or internal)?

You can change to another engine to see the result.

(reloaded 9.0.4.0) and the crash occurs with either preview engine setting. Default was directshow (and checking the box to enable the DXVA acceleration did not effect the outcome).
