    Burning DVD From Raw Files

Hello DVDFab community & Happy Holidays to you all!!!

I could REALLY use some help w/something I've never attempted before. I will do my best to describe what it is I am trying to accomplish.

I recently began the process of backing-up a movie I own (I back-up most of my newer movies so I can protect the originals) with the idea of burning it on blank media. However, just prior to burning the movie, my home experienced a power outage so I was unable to seamlessly rip/burn the movie.

I now have a bunch of files that are rather foreign to me. Now, the movie I was backing-up had an extensive "set-up" menu which included both 'Spoken Language' as well as 'Caption/Sub-Title' options that I ABSOLUTELY need! These files very in size (yet some are the EXACT same size).

My question is: I would like to know what files I need in order to completely back-up the disc (not just the movie by itself) with all set-up and special content intact and HOW to exactly burn them using DVDFab.

Here is the list of files w/extensions and size:

    1. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_3.VOB [1024MB]
    2. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_1.VOB [1024MB]
    3. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_2.VOB [1024MB]
    4. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_4.VOB [900MB]
    5. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_0.VOB [3MB]
    6. VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB [436KB]
    7. VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB [226KB]
    8. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_0.BUP [86KB]
    9. VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_0.IFO [86KB]
    10. VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO [18KB]
    11. VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP [18KB]
    12. VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.BUP [18KB]
    13. VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO [18KB]
    14. VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.BUP [14KB]
    15. VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.IFO [14KB]
    16. VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB [14KB]
    17. VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.BUP [14KB]
    18. VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.IFO [14KB]
    19. VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_1.VOB [14KB]
    20. VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB [10KB]

If anyone can help me, any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!!! All I want to do is properly burn the movie INCLUDING all menus (set-up/additional content) so I can watch it w/spoken Japanese language and English sub-titles.

LOL - I really hope I didn't confuse all of you. I know what I want - just having issues relaying it so others can understand it. Anyway - thank you in advance!!!

Double posting will not get answers any quicker so please refrain from doing so.

Use the "Write Data" function of DVD Fab and select the directory that holds the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS subdirectories as the source.

I think you are the only one who is confused ....

Well I think you have all the files needed, wish they were in order ..... does that folder play using a softplayer, if so:

        ImgBurn will accomplish your TASK

Select "Build" under "Mode" or the "Create image file from files/folders" Button !!

Happy Holidays to U 2 and welcome to the forum ... do you have a DVDFab licence ? If NOT that will be $10 ...

          Much Appreciated!

GREGIBOY: I apologize for replying to my own thread and I realize that doing so is improper forum etiquette.

ALIENX/GREGI: I appreciate you both taking the time to answer my question(s). Although I have been a registered user of DVDFab since roughly2006 (I remember the old registering process, old desktop icon and website so whenever those were still in existance), I have never utilized any of the more advanced features and options that this program offers. Most of the time I simply copied DVD's and just burned the main movie.

Okay - so I'm still somewhat confused. Are any of those files I listed unneeded or useless for what I'm trying to accomplish? It would be nice to eliminate them so I can see what it is I'm actually working with. Also, you [ALIENX] made a comment regarding them not being in order...is there a way to PUT them in order? Do they need to be in order for me to properly reconstruct the movie prior to burning?

I apologize for all the questions and my obvious stupidity. My family and I were (hopefully ARE) going to watch this particular movie on Christmas night and because I missplaced the original, I need the burned copy.

Just so I have some basic understanding on how to tackle this project, I need to use the "Write Data" option on DVDFab? Where does the program 'ImgBurn' fit in this equation? Once I have the program I need to use and a blank disc laying comfortably in the drive-tray, which file(s) do I start with?

Thank you, once again, in advance! Once again, I apologize for double-posting. I meant no ignorance or disrespect.

Rather than trying to figure out exactly where things left off and waste a lot of your time, I would suggest you simply delete the directory and start over from the original.

I must confess that I should have re-read your original post, all the COLOR and FONT was throwing me off. I thought you were dealing with a HOME movie. If it is a purchased movie .... RE-EXTRACT using DVDFab or you can try suggestions below.

You need all the files .... here is an example of a semi normal DVD structure on a purchased movie . Also see THIS for a little more insight

Did you try playing the folder with a softplayer (i.e. PowerDVD, VLC, etc.) as i suggested to verify that it is a complete DVD ? ? ?

If the the folder opens and plays properly with a softplayer, do as i suggested with ImgBurn in my previous post (#4). It will create a .ISO, then mount the .ISO with DAEMON Tools Lite and play it with the softplayer to verify before burning it to disc !!!

That will be $10 more ...
