Eddie Izzard DVDs won't open

I have two concert DVDs by comedian Eddie Izzard (Glorious, and Definite Article) which play fine on my computer. But when DVDFab attempts to open them, the scan starts, but never finishes. Both DVDs have a starting menu which first asks for a language, then a second menu (in that language) has the play option. Would that be why DVDFab can't open them?

disable pathplayer in settings restart dvdfab and try again and see if the discs opens.
